Governance & Advisory

The State Library engages with two groups that serve as governance and advisory functions for the agency. The Iowa Commission of Libraries hires the State Librarian and approves and oversees the State Library budget. The Iowa Library Advisory Panel provides insight and feedback to the State Library on what issues are facing public and academic libraries in the state. Click the links below to find out more.
