Director Roundtables | Southwest (In Person Event)
In continuation of our 2024 CE theme (Libraries are Forever), this year's Director Roundtables will look at examples of how library staff, boards, and supporters have shown libraries are here to stay: as partners in education and the arts, as valuable players in civic life, as trusted sources of information, and by designing great public places in cities large and small. Join your fellow directors to share your experiences surrounding:
- Sustainability: Going green with improvements to buildings, grounds, etc.
- Collaboration: Working together with community partners
- Teamwork: Positive interactions with other city services or departments
- Programming: Making a noticeable impact in your community
- Funding: Alternative financing options
Throughout each district, directors will have a chance to learn from their district consultant, network with their peers, and apply new learning in their library. Roundtables are designed in a 3-hour format, with guided instruction followed by open-ended discussion.
