STEM Fair (In Person Event, Anita)

Mar 23, 2023, 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Are you new to Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math (STEM) and need some inspiration to get started programming in your library? Or are you already doing STEM activities and need some fresh ideas to keep attendees interested? If you answered “yes” to either of those questions, please join us for a Librarian STEM Fair!

This all-day, in-person workshop is designed to familiarize you with local resources to expand your library’s STEM offerings and give you an opportunity to steal (ahem, borrow) ideas from colleagues in your district.

Agenda for the day includes:
- Presentation from State Library staff on why STEM matters
- Time with local STEM Hub representatives, extension offices, and Iowa PBS
- Short presentations from youth librarians and time demoing STEM activities

The events (1 per district) will NOT be recorded or live streamed. Time for lunch on your own will be provided. Consider joining us the following day for a half-day, in-person Summer Reading Workshop!
